Canopus' Creative HD Suite contains the Edius NX card, a special version of Edius Pro 4.6, and a set of ProDad effects software: Heroglyph, Mercalli Expert and Vitascene. 

The special version of Edius is essentially the normal Edius Pro, but with added support for Panasonic P2, Sony XDCAM and EX-1, and the Grass Valley Infinity camera formats. This is not to be confused with the broadcast version of Edius, which has support for more formats still!

The hardware part of the package is the Canopus NX card together with the PCI HDV expansion card. This is slightly different to the NXe (which we have been selling for the last few months), though the difference is not huge. The NXe has hardware chips on board to encode footage into standard definition MPEG2 and MPEG 4; these are not included with the Creative suite. Edius' built-in DVD writing does not use these chips anyway, so the omission is not that important.

Also included with this bundle is the ability to author Blu-ray discs. You will get a voucher to get a full copy of Ulead Movie Factory Plus which lets you write Blu-ray discs without menus (as well as normal DVDS with menus). You can get an extra plug-in from the Ulead site for approx. £10 which add support for Blu-ray discs with menus. If you buy a full Creative HD Suite system from DVC, we will sort this out for you and install and test the software on the system before despatch.
