Matrox have just released new drivers for the MX02 range of products which means they now work on Windows 7, as well as Vista.
At the same time they have also expanded the range so now all the MX02 products work on both Mac and PC.   Previously it was only the Matrox MX02 Mini that worked on both platforms.
The rest of the range include:
MX02LE - This has component, composite, HDMI and SDI in and out.  The major difference between this and the Mini is that it has SDI i/o.
MX02     - Similar to the LE with 6 phonos for surround sound output.
MX02 Rack - a rack mounted  version of the MX02.

There are also MAX versions of each product.  The MAX versions include a chip for realtime encoding of footage for H264 - as used in Blu-ray and iPODs.

On the PC they work with Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 (you must have the latest 4.2 update).  On the Mac they work with Final Cut Pro.  We understand support is planned for CS4 on the Mac but is not available as yet.
Now we can use these products on Windows 7 we will do so for all future systems.  Windows 7 is actually very like Windows Vista but a bit better - so why not use it!  We will be recommending using the 64 bit version as well because this is more future proof for the next versions of Adobe Premiere Pro.
