Matrox have released beta versions of new drivers for the RT.X2 and Axio.  These have two major changes:

1) The are designed for Premiere 4.2.  The 4.1 drivers do not work properly with Adobe's latest update.  This is not a problem if you keep a track on what updates your computer is installing or if you do not connect you edit machine to the Internet.  However it is possible the 4.2 update installed on your machine automatically - if this happened then it needs new drivers to work properly.

2) They allow people to use the Matrox RT.X2 and Axio on Windows 7.

These drivers are beta - which means they are still under going testing.  Only use them if you have inadvertantly installed 4.2 Premiere or if you want to use Windows 7.  The final drivers will probably be released in a couple of weeks.

You can download the drivers from the Matrox user forums:

You will be required to make a user account to do so, but its pretty easy.

If you would like a new system and want to have Windows 7 we will supply systems using the beta drivers so please contact us for more information.
